It’s been a real joy to see the support given by both staff at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital and the public over the last few weeks. Coming together is something we have all missed and its been a real pleasure to see us all coming together for a great cause, especially after the last year.
It’s been Christmas week at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital and we have hosted an array of activities to raise funds for our Christmas Appeal. This includes a hosting a mini-Christmas market with a performance from our ROH Staff Choir, organising our own festive dress day as well as selling Christmas cards, engaging with local businesses and agreeing sponsorship opportunities with stakeholders.
Thanks to the donations received, all staff were given chocolates to thank them for their hard work throughout the year as well as encouraged to utilise the wellbeing facilities across the site funded by the Charity this year.
One of the fundraising activities that took place this week was ‘Guess the weight of the cake’ whereby staff, patients and the public could get involved. This is the lovely lady won our competition! Her name is Noel, and her birthday is on Christmas Day! Noel and her husband also very kindly added an extra donation to our charity when collecting their prize.
We would like to say a huge thank you to all those who have given to us throughout this period. Here are a few of those who have supported our Christmas Appeal this year:
