Supporting our annual Christmas Appeal really does make a difference. In 2020 over £6300 was raised during the festive season in order to purchase gifts for both our NHS staff and patients over the celebratory period. This year we aim to make an even bigger impact.
By supporting our Christmas Appeal you will be helping us bring new initiatives to help distract, entertain and connect patients to their loved ones, as well as prioritise staff health and wellbeing throughout the festive period.
Non-uniformed teams across the hospital supported Festive Dress Day by digging out their favourite jumpers, dresses and even head bands.
Our annual Christmas decorating competition brought cheer across the hospital including our Clinical teams.
We originally appealed to our local stakeholders and businesses to support patients with gifts from Christmas Eve to Boxing Day, however due to the generosity received, we had enough to distribute these from mid-December!
Thanks to your donations we have been able to deliver chocolates and additional wellbeing support to all staff across The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital.
One of the fundraising activities that took place this week was ‘Guess the weight of the cake’ whereby staff, patients and the public could get involved.
