NHS Big Tea Poster Competition 2022

Win £5k worth of Charity Support

Wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do at the ROH with our patients and their families or with our staff and colleagues.

ROH Charity’s role is to find ways to support and enhance patient experience to enable NHS funds to be used on the essential services our public needs. We support the ‘added extras’ that make our patients stay with us that little bit more bearable, because let’s face it… no-one enjoys visiting hospital.

By getting involved in this year’s competition, you and your team can directly impact our patients in a positive way.

Poster Competition Brief

We challenge you to create a wellbeing initiative that enhances the experience of patients within your department or service area. Working together, we would like you and your team to create a poster which presents your idea to the Trust and you’ll be in with the chance of winning up to £5k worth of support for the initiative from ROH Charity.

Timeline

11 May: Poster competition opens

20 June: Deadline for entries

5 July: Exhibition opens, and public voting takes place

12 July: Winner announced

Your wellbeing poster entry should:

-Explain your patient wellbeing idea. This could be specific to your department/ service area or something which the whole hospital could implement. (This must be something additional to what the NHS are obliged to provide, for example a Charity funded specialist bone cancer counsellor for one day a week or bespoke aids for amputees)

-Communicate the benefits of your idea

-Be inclusive for all service users within your area

-Be clear as to the cost needed from the Charity

-Be practical to implement
(approximate cost in staff time and resources)

-Be scalable (consider how it could work for other teams)

Hints and tips:

-If your idea supports, the wellbeing of both patients and staff you may get some bonus points.

-Tell a story to share why your idea could be so beneficial. It helps the reader to visualise your idea and how it could work.

-Has the idea been implemented elsewhere? If yes, tell us all about it!

-Your idea doesn’t have to be something tangible like a waiting room renovation or new member of staff …. It could be the launch of a new research project or digital mindfulness programme.
