CYPD celebrating creativity

We are delighted to share a wonderful project from our Children and Young Persons Department (CYPD). Young patients have created vibrant, summer-themed pictures on bunting, with special thanks to Marie Squire and the CYP staff for bringing everything together. This bunting will be featured at our Summer fundraising events, including ROC’s Summer Fete on 25th July and the CYP cake sale on 5th August. While the Summer Fete will support our general fundraising efforts, the funds raised from the cake sale will go towards Christmas gifts for children and young patients at the ROH, adding extra joy to their festive season and helping to brighten their appointments.
We are thrilled that over 100 children contributed their creative designs, including one that says “Nice staff, caring,” which beautifully reflects the positive impact of ROH staff. Before the fundraising events, the bunting has been proudly displayed in the hospital corridor, where you can admire these cheerful designs during your next visit.
Marie Squire, CYPD Administrator, shared her enthusiasm for the project, stating, “Our children and young people have created beautiful and unique designs. I’m proud to have been part of this project alongside the CYP team.”
