We are proud to support the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital’s Staff Awards ceremony. Each year we support this ceremony through the ‘invest in our best’ appeal, because a hospital is not a building – it’s the people who work there.
This year has been one of the most difficult and Staff members adapted quickly, efficiently and effectively to a very new way of working. They prioritised each patient, giving them the care and support they needed, protected the vulnerable and supported those deteriorating in whatever way they could.
We believe celebrating success and giving our staff the huge ‘Thank you’ they deserve is the least we can do to support an organisation to together change lives every day.
The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital (ROH) like every other NHS Trust across the UK, has had to adapt rapidly throughout this difficult year to ensure all patients and their families feel safe and supported. ROH turned from an elective Trust into a Trauma Centre, caring for some of the most vulnerable patients in Midlands. The Trust supported many trauma patients from across Birmingham with 75% being patients outside our usual expertise. Staff members had to adapt the way they worked to protect the vulnerable and support those deteriorating in whatever way they could.
Their ability to adapt, whilst supporting patients and families through, what for some was the toughest thing they have ever experienced, is something to be recognised. Not only by our organisation, but by our community.
Would you consider supporting us to make this year’s Annual Staff Awards ceremony more special than ever?
How you wish to contribute is up to you, we are grateful for any level of support. We would welcome the opportunity to talk with you more about how you can get involved.
