Nightingale Football Club Lights Up ROC’s First Ever Festive Glow Up Campaign

We’re thrilled to announce that Nightingale Football Club, a longstanding supporter and fundraising partner of the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital Charity (ROC), has sponsored a light in our first-ever Festive Glow Up campaign! 

 About Nightingale Football Club

Nightingale Football Club is a community football club made up of NHS staff and other key workers. The club was formed during the COVID-19 pandemic, when its members rallied to support key workers and the wider community, combining their love of football with a commitment to giving back. Over the years, they have continued this incredible charitable work, raising funds for local causes, including ROC.

How They Did It

The team pulled together in a variety of creative ways to contribute to the campaign:

Weekly Training Contributions: Each player added an extra £1 per weekly football training session, showing that small contributions really add up over time.

Football Competition Scratch Card: Fun and friendly competitions raised further funds from the club community.

Season Prediction Competition: Brett, the club’s dedicated charity representative, ran a season football prediction competition, giving fans the chance to test their football knowledge while supporting a great cause.

Last Man Standing (LMS) Competition: Kieran Goulding organised a regular football LMS competition, with participants paying in to compete, contributing even more to ROC’s Festive Glow Up.

Making a Real Impact

This year alone, Nightingale Football Club has raised over £1,000 towards ROC’s projects. Over the years, the club’s incredible efforts have contributed more than £10,000 in total to support patient care, hospital improvements, and charitable projects.

The Festive Glow Up campaign is all about lighting up ROC — not just literally, but also figuratively, bringing warmth, hope, and joy to our patients and staff during the festive season. The generosity of groups like Nightingale Football Club ensures we can continue to make a difference in the lives of those receiving treatment.
