Farmers market goes down a storm!
On Friday the 28th September we held our very first farmers market at the hospital to bring a little joy to staff and patients!
We wanted to celebrate individuality in our local community and therefore made an active effort to pick local stall holders, most of which had a connection with the hospital in some way.
The market was in no means a money making procedure, it was a chance for us to thank our staff for their hard work and offer them something different, as well as a chance for our patients to take their mind off an appointment or a procedure they are awaiting.
However after each stallholder generously donated to the charity, and passers by kindly donated additional funds, we managed to raise over £220 for the charity. This money will be cashed into our general fund to help us achieve this years big appeals!
We had really positive feedback, from both the stall holders and the customers which was lovely to hear. You never know this become a more regular occurrence!
We’d like to say a huge thank you to our stall holders, without them the event wouldn’t have been possible!
