On Sunday 14th October , 12 of our amazing fundraisers took part in the Birmingham Half Marathon. They successfully completed the course in style, whilst enduring the typical English wet and windy weather.
The Throne Project appeal is a cause that has been driven by passion, and Senior Occupational Therapist Tracey Gilbert has been the major driving force for making this all important change. Tracey has not only drove the project to where we are now, she also completed the event and was a great motivator for everyone else involved.
“I felt so proud to be running for ROH today for a great cause and project whilst achieving such a huge personal achievement and self belief”
We had a mixture of members of the community, staff and patients taking part who all had a personal connection with the appeal in some way. They were all dedicated to making a difference, which drove their fundraising to be a success.
As a team they raised a total of £1930.00 through online donations, and more to come!
This is a huge testament to every single one of our fundraisers commitment to such an important appeal. Because of their impressive efforts, our appeal total is now up to £5500.00, and has funded 2 bathroom refurbishments already.
Its not too late to donate to their team page, visit : https://www.justgiving.com/campaigns/charity/roh/rohhm18

Some of our lovely facilities team have come together to celebrate 70 years of the NHS by donating 1000 miles through the NHS 70th birthday, through the #NHS1000Miles campaign!
5 of our staff are giving up their free time to the campaign in order to raise awareness of our charity.
They have been meeting up every week and cycling an average of 50 miles a week, in and around Birmingham!
We are in absolute awe of their support to the campaign, and even after over 20 years of NHS service between them, they are still willing to donate that little bit extra to a great cause!
If you see them on their travels, why not take a photo and tweet us @fundROH or tag us on facebook @ROHNHSFT
